Jonah's Potty Training

Since we've been "snowed in" all week, I figured it was a good time to potty train with Jonah. I'm eager to have him trained before the baby comes so that we're not having to buy diapers for two! Jonah had immediate success and has had a great week with only a few accidents. I was amazed at how well he did. He loves to model his new Cars underwear too!

Red Neck Sledding

We have now officially become southerners! Sam took Sydney sledding at the park today - in a laundry basket!! Pop Pop had given the kids a sled for Christmas, but we left it at his house, never thinking that we would have a need for it in Atlanta! Sydney had a blast!

Still Lots of Snow

Today Sam helped the kids to make a snowman in the backyard. When we first told Sydney that school had been cancelled because of the snow, she was really disappointed because this week she was to be "Star of the Week" in her class. She had brought home, Starla, the class mascot and had several special projects and responsibilities to do as the "Star Student". She wanted to take a picture with Starla, so she could show her class that Starla was enjoying the snow too!

Snow Week in Atlanta

Let It Snow!! As forecasted, it snowed last night and we woke up to 6 inches of snow this morning! Because there was freezing rain before the snow, the roads were very icy and everything was closed. Sam was off work for 3 days because of the snow and Sydney was out of school for an entire week! We actually had more snow here than we saw while we were in Canada a couple of weeks ago!!

Happy New Year!

Today we went to a family New Year's Eve party in Sarnia. There were several fun games and activities for the kids to do as well as cake and a ginger ale toast! At the end of the party, all the kids counted down to the new year and balloons were dropped from the ceiling.

Fun Times with Cousins!

Today we planned to go to Brad and Tonya's house to go skating on their backyard rink, but since temperatures were rising, the rink was melting! Instead, the kids had a great time playing with Travis, Ryan, Katelyn, Noah and Ana and then went outside to play in the snow, where Sam joined in on the fun!
